Hi, I'm Hoang.

About me

I've been writing software for more than ten years. I started as a Java developer in Sofia, Bulgaria, where I also studied Software Engineering, and later moved to London. Along the way I've worked on banking and insurance systems, fintech, e-commerce and cloud infrastructure, at companies like VMware, Monese and Capco before joining Meta.

These days I mostly think about production systems: how they scale, how they fail, and how to make them easy to run. I write Rust, Python and Java, and I speak Vietnamese, English and Bulgarian.
